When I would think of loosing weight and the bathroom my mind would go directly to thoughts of Karen Carpenter. I read the following today and have a brand new out look on how the bathroom can help me loose weight and find peace.
The Bathroom: No-Food Zone, Meditation Center, Art Gallery! Bathrooms are an excellent place to escape to and find peace in. A Natural No-Food Zone. Obsessed with food? Can’t stop thinking about it? Go straight to the bathroom! Do not pass go. Generally speaking, you won’t find a refrigerator in a bathroom (if yours has one, you better rethink your weight loss strategy) Nor will you be tempted to bring a burger and fries into the shower or bath with you. Think about it!
Meditation Center. Light Your Incense and say Ommmmmm! Turn the top of your toilet into an altar. Light a candle or two, some incense, place a small vase of flowers on it, and while you’re soaking in your food-free tub, say Ommmmmmm.
Art Gallery Extraordinaire! Let your funky side out!! Hang a picture or two; place a sculpture in the corner. If you’ve got wall space, cover it with your creations, your kids’ or your friends'. Put a ‘suggested donation’ box for those who visit your art gallery! And if you want to take it a step farther, file for museum status and charge admission!
I like the idea of charging admission to the bathroom...maybe not to look at the art work, but for each question the kids ask me when I am in my new found sanctuary. So if you call me or come to my door and the kids or Karl say that I am indisposed just know that I am in the No-Food Zone, Meditation Center, Art Gallery!

have I ever told you I love your shower door in the downstairs bathroom. Kinda like art work the way the lines go across the door... strategically hiding things you don't want people to see.....
oh Mike I have so much to say about showers and you....but I won't. I will wait till a more private time. P.S. I would need more than the lines across the shower to cover up things I don't want people to see!
